This thread can be a place for people to post random comments or stories about stuff which isn't really 'worth' a thread but you still think it's worth a post... I often think of different things I'd like to post about but I really don't think I should create a new thread for them. So I decided to create one thread where I can post all my random comments! OK.. so.. I've been listening to Miranda Lambert a lot lately..I really like her music and I'm looking forward to her new album. I'm currently on a temp contract which is up at the end of the month and probably won't be renewed or extended. So I have an interview for another job next week and I am pretty nervous about it. Lots of pressure....and I'm quite a shy person when it comes to meeting people for the first time which is not really a good trait when it comes to interviews! I'm watching Ireland v Austrailia in the soccer friendly at the mo and they are rubbish. Losing 2-0 83 mins gone. Anyone have Stephen Ireland's number? They're the only random thoughts I have for today. Please feel free to post your own. Nothing too trivial! (I imagine the resident thread hi jackers will be quite at home here...though maybe it's as much fun when you're not supposed to be doing it??? ;D

Lots of pressure....and I'm quite a shy person when it comes to meeting people for the first time which is not really a good trait when it comes to interviews! Good luck with the interview, H. I'm watching Ireland v Austrailia in the soccer friendly at the mo and they are rubbish. Losing 2-0 83 mins gone. 3-0 in the end, then. And there was me thinking that the only sports that the Aussies were any good at were cricket , Aussie Rules footie and rugby! ;D I imagine the resident thread hi jackers will be quite at home here. If I was one of the culprits that you had in mind, I can announce that I've given up hijacking threads since it made me no money and I'm now thinking of moving on to a more lucrative form of the art......(I'm reliably informed that it involves planes ). Hopefully I might be able to give up my day job soon! ;D

I have recently reconnected with an old CLT calssmate with whom I spent several class days at my technical college before she moved onto a different (and better, iho) school. And since, I have been perusing some of my materials that I had just about abandoned for some time. Despite the apparent lack of remaining faith in me for getting a job in the field, this is a renewal in some respect. Because just helping someone answer mere scientific quirks on the topics allows me to rendez-vous things I otherwise and priorly have been too sentimentally reclusive about looking at again. I think I could be on the path of reconnection and reinvention. Again. There are seminars for curent or past students that I will be attending hopefully if schedules never conflict. We help eachother peruse available jobs and study related topics. And...just talk random crap, personal, family, etc. I have always missed school and my classmates. This one sat right by me in labs and was a good laugh. She was one who got fed up with the instructors and some pressures and almost the program altogether, and I guess I was one of few who could keep her in the classroom and cheered up. An all around neat person. I guess it takes something random like this to occur to shake the dust off things. Now I think I see another twinkle at the end of the (dismal?) career tunnel, ....with a microscope, that is though. lol.

This place is about as dead as a coon dog under the front porch on a hot August day.

Life as we know has become redundant amidst the economic slump, it's summer, and people must want to get out and do what lil leisure they can. And, the Chicks, nowhere's to be seen, must be up to the same thing. just a thought.

I had helped my brother move a lot of his belongings from an apartment into a plush house in Downey yesterday, and the one song I couldn't help hearing in my head was:

I screwed myself on carnival ride coupons at the State Fair today. Got a ticket bundle, then saw how many extra rides there were as we walked, and wished we got the 'unlimited' wristbands. So we did when the tix ran out. Uggghhh. Never let myself fall for that one again. And thanks to the carnie ticket seller for not suggesting me to correct my erroneous purchase. Hmmff!

I cut the front yard, edged the sidewalk and trimmed a bush and quit. It's too damn hot. I'll do the back yard on another day.

I can't find any seed potatoes, so much for trying out a fall crop. Maybe the farmers market will have heirlooms and I can hope they sprout soon.

I spent $20 I didn't really have on a Mega-Millions lottery ticket, hoping to win part of that $207 million....I did....I won $3.
