Linda and Emmy doing their "Everly Sisters" thing on Dolly's 1976 TV show:
and a different kind of trio, the original Kingston Trio, doing their 1959 folk classic "MTA" ("Citizens hear me out, this could happen to you"):

It's been kina peaceful around here, not that that's bad... This music video from the later '90's of the acid techno group Aphex Twin, is one of the scariest things I had ever seen when I first saw it. (at 4:10.... ) No, I am not a fan. It's got nightmare written all over it. click if you dare.... eta:: Yeah that does look like Adrian Pasdar towards the middle ?

Has anyone seen the new Kid Rock Video "Amen"?
And here's a video that someone put together using his song. Both are powerful and emotional.

You'd think that with all the great Bonnie Raitt songs - there could be another for country chicks to cover (most of the songs Bonnie did were covers, so I guess it would be a cover of a cover).

As every Psychobilly fan probably knows by now, bass player Shonna Tucker wrote and sings three of the songs on the new Drive-by Truckers album, "Brighter Than Creation's Dark". Here's a life performance of one of them - the vocal line's not that clear, but I definitely want to hear more! History in the making (and she gets a lot of love from the DBT fans!)

Mountain Swing!
This fusion style was popular, especially in East Tennessee and Northern North Carolina, before World War II - and it's currently enjoying a mini-revival boom, influencing artists like the Everybody Fields, Menage and Christabel & the Johns.
Here's the very talented Robin Ella Tipton Contreras, with her own song
(Robin's husband, Cruz is on mandolin. Her brother-in-law, Billy Contreras is on fiddle. Although I'm not sure, I think the guitarist is Steve Kovalcheck and bass is played by Taylor Coker)

yes I do ... that was (has been) one of my favorite ballads of lost love ... and I always thought the lead singer in this video was cute (I had a crush on her, but then I fall into crushes easily) ... it is a very "pretty" song in my opinion ... sung with and about a strong emotion ... can't go wrong with a video sung by a pretty brunette, that has a cool saxphone solo (besides brunettes, I am also partial to "horns") **as for something that is new , but "old" ... the singer SHELBY LYNNE has just recently released a CD of cover songs "inspired by" Dusty Springfield this is her version of "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and this is live version of her performing "I Only Want To Be With You" the CD also features versions of Just A Little Lovin' The Look Of Love and Breakfast In Bed shelby's current web site www.shelbylynne.com/ ** although I have to admit that I find redheads just as adorable

YouTube's independent cinema...... For any who haven't heard of Liam Kyle Sullivan yet ("Kelly"...also, see VH1's show "I Hate My 30s"), he is creator of some very conceptual YouTube musical comedies. Pretty radical too.....like, totally ( warning: occasional vulgarities.......well, minus "betch" and "shetbag" lol ) recent hilarious favs.... (added track times, in case you don't have time ) "Relationshit" ( love the lyrics to this one ) (4:00) "Text Message Break-up" (6:27) "(Gimme More) Shoes" ](4:00) (**winner of People's Choice Award**) "Let Me Borrow That Top" quite hlarious!! (6:48)heh, do all women reallly hate eachother?! lolol ****it! lol "Muffins" (2:20)("Asbestos....I'm baking muffins asbestos I can" --nuk nuk) ...and many more!!

This is Elizabeth Cook's latest "single" and video (from her album "Balls")
This is one of her most sophisticated songs - a cover of a 1966 song from the Velvet Underground, "Sunday Morning"

In the meantime, from the Chicks' most recent tour of '06, here's Natalie's opening remarks to the crowd at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. As usual, Mrs. Maines is priceless:

More Linda Rondstadt here - and she can have seldom looked more beautiful! (Maybe Erik will know when it was filmed?)
She's singing first a female version of the old Jimmy Bryant song "Only Daddy That'll Walk the Line", then a duet with the great Johnny Cash, on the Carter Family classic "I Never Will Marry"
WARNING: the video's fine, but you may prefer to skip reading the You Tube member comments, which contain some vulgarity and anti-Hispanic slurs

It was on the TV show that Johnny Cash hosted from 1969 to 1971 on ABC-TV. Linda was on the show's third episode, which aired on June 21, 1969. Since it was done from the stage of the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, it marked Linda's first direct exposure to the country music establishment.
P.S.: Yes, I've seen the anti-Hispanic slurs in the comments section. What pathetic people they are to write that s***!
