I recently watched the movie Capote and thought is was excellent. I bought In Cold Blood and it's a great read.

Right at this moment, I am reading Jim Marrs' compelling Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy. It only seems right, given that the 45th anniversary of Kennedy's untimely death (and perhaps the death of trust in our government) occurs a week from today.

Obviously the one in my Birthday thread doesn't get lonely. Ok, that was a cheesy pun.

Just finished the 2nd book in the Twilight series. It was fabulous! I agree Billi! I was on that one last month. I'm resisting getting the 3rd because I want it in paperback. Easier to lug around and read on the bus!

just got the 3rd one today. 200 pages into it already and shit it is just as good as 1 and 2. These books are fabulous, I am addicted, seriously! Got the hardback but smaller version at the Evil Empire (Walmart) for $13. Target was cheaper but sold out. No bueno. I wanted the book so I stood outside Wallyworld and talked myself into going in. Glad I did since the book is so good.

Hey! #1 son is reading Twilight.
I went to Barnes and Noble to get the latest Jeff Shaara book, The Steel Wave, which is the second WWII book. The paperback is not out yet, so I'll wait BUT all the Calvin and Hobbes books were on sale. I bought The Days Are Just Packed and It's a Magical World.
I think everybody with little boys from about 5-12 should read Calvin and Hobbes while their boys are in that stage of life.

I agree with you Slovog. ...and even if your son has passed that age one day, it continues to be a good idea to have a closer look at those Calvin and Hobbes books on quite a regular basis. The stories are hilarious!
