Wow - "Don't Waste Your Heart". My favourite Natalie vocal. She co-wrote it with Emily, but I never thought they'd perform in that style again
(Even if they didn't, and "Popped" it down, I still see it as a significant concession to their roots)

That set list has a lot of surprises. I love Am I The Only One. Delighted it's on the list and I really hope it stays there til March. I wonder if I spent the next 5 months begging them on twitter would they do More Love!??

The set list was chronological the first night. From the Chicks Twitter account it looks like there are different set lists throughout this tour. 4 so far they said.
If you search Rob Feller on YouTube and bring up his channel you can see some great video from the first night if the tour.
12 days until my last Chicks show of the year. What a wild ride it's been. Austin, Ottawa, Charleston & Hamilton.

The photo of Simon at the lap top IMHO doesn't refer to the C2C in Dublin and London. Purely because I don't believe 2 appearances in a weekend festival constitute's a 'Tour Schedule'. And with the question of 'suggestions' and with C2C confirmed, then surely they're planning a separate project. I now believe they'll do a Chicks show in Dublin or London and ffollow that up with some shows elsewhere.

Hmm... Well, hopefully it includes Eastern US. I suppose one good thing about the elongated times between tours is the travel fund gets replenished....

I don't know, I'm not getting a hint at a US tour from that tweet. I would think they would need a new album to promote to do a "real" tour.

If there's a US tour, I'm going to try to make it to Detroit/NY/Boston for one of the shows.

I would think they would need a new album to promote to do a "real" tour. 10 show's in Canada with no new album to promote is evidence to me that they are prepared to still go out on the road and perform live. Admittedly, that screen Simon is looking at has no mention of the US, only 'Dixie Chicks Tour Schedule 2014 Any suggestions ??.. The fact he has that wording on his screen for some reason gives me an idea there's going to be a tour.

Anyone else know the set list of the other two nights? Curious to see how different they are.

I agree that mostly likely Nat has realized that she's not going to make the whole pop-cross-over successful. I think, long term, that this may help the Chicks. Not trying to be mean, but it seems to be the current reality.
I hope they do more shows in the US though. Don't understand the whole CANADA thing going on.

Nat replied to Wazoo's tweet today regarding a US Tour. No plans for it. I saw it and was absolutely flabbergasted. For Simon to sit at the laptop and put that picture/tweet out I think is ill advised. From their point of view it was clearly aimed at us Europeans or Canadians. ........but then again who knows? Apologies if I got anyone's hopes up by starting the thread with such a positive spin on a US Tour.....:-( Now that Scandanavia has 3 confirmed shows and Nat replied "thats likely" to @chicksfanno1 on twitter to her request for a German show, then this 2014 tour is quite extensive by their standards for Europe if you include the 2 appearances at Country 2 Country in Dublin and London. I think they'll add at least 1 Chicks only show in the UK as well. But I was so surprised to read what Nat had said today! I apologise again to anybody whose hopes I had raised by putting a US Tour spin on it... :-(

Don't worry, Tony - it's something we'd likely all want.
And I'm pretty sure it's what Simon would want too.
The "tainted" feeling of being associated with a Country image has always only seemed to apply to the United States. In Canada and Europe, they were willing to appear on Country media even in 2006. I think events like Southern Ground show that Natalie is willing nowadays to appear anywhere in the US as Natalie Maines. But as the Dixie Chicks it seems to be only exceptions, like other countries, Austin, or appearances headlined by a Rock-leaning band, that seem distinct enough for her not to see it as going back to the "Heartland" image she wants to avoid.
I think there's been real progress towards a return to activity - but still some way to go.

I agree with all you say Bingo, and yes there's been progress. All the more reason for The Chicks to 'dip their toes' in selected area's of the US.......it's left me perplexed at this stage. But something is telling me that it's still possible for them to play in the US next year.

Tipping their toes in the US of A is a must for me,but that might mean more shows in the UK/Europe.

I'm not counting anything out. Plans? Obviously nothing is scheduled, so technically there really are 'no plans', ie no dates. It's still a little early to plan dates for summer shows. I fear the longer they put off the US (even just some select dates like NYC, LA, etc), they'll start pushing away the fans that have stuck by them. US fans shouldn't be punished because of the country music industry.
