I'm really pleased that one of the artists I support, Caitlyn Smith, has been chosen to open the Hounds upcoming show in Fargo. For those who don't know of her, Caitlyn is from Minnesota, and has been making her name as a singer/songwriter in Nashville. I posted one of her songs in this thread: chicksrock.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=nonchick&thread=13742&page=1(video at post #16) Caitlyn also co-wrote one of the current big "surprise" hits - "Heart of Dixie", recorded by 16 year old Danielle Bradbery Her co-writer, Troy Verges recently said this of her: " "She is an amazing artist in her own right, and just a pure joy to be around. Caitlyn is a ray of sunshine when she walks in the room, and she has a voice that just knocks you over."I'm glad that the Hounds are giving her this break, and I think it should be a great show for anyone going.

Just on the basis of that song that was posted, I hope Caitlyn makes it as the Hounds' opener. I have the feeling she may be too good for mainstream Nashville (which would hardly be a first), but I hope I'm wrong.
