Anyone see the new seventh Harry Potter movie? I just watched it today and was just curious to how people felt about the film. Personally, I really enjoyed the movie. I didn't read the book, but I still was very happy with the film. It was pretty intense and dark at times and it showed the development of the characters and how harry, ron and hermione have grown up. Spoiler Alert I was pleased with the film, and have no complaints, although I was very shocked with the scene of harry and hermione kissing when the horcrux revealed ron's worst fears. I like the scene, but the thing that shocked me was how passionate the kiss was and how the characters were naked (although covered with a cloud of smoke-like substance). Just goes to show that the actors and characters have really grown since the first book/movie. I watched some of the cast interviews online and actress emma watson said that it was awkward because they all grew up together over the course of the 11 years of filming the harry potter series and were like brother and sister, then they had to kiss in this scene.

Read the book, haven't seen the movie. I thought the book ended badly in that wtf happened to our stars in the immediate days, weeks and months following the great battle to save Hogwarts. In the book it's the battle, next page they're sending their kids off to school. Very disappointing! If I were J.K.R., I'd be ashamed of it, but I guess money fixes everything. BTW Alexis, I see you're fairly new here so WELCOME!!! I know you'll find enough here to keep you busy for a while, enjoy!!

I want to see it, but no one I know cares to go...yet. Maybe better to save on the theatre costs. Besides, I haven't seen the last one, Half-Blood Prince, in so long, I've forgot what happened in it. Will I need to return to that focus to make it through this new one??

Well since I didnt read the book, I cant tell you how I feel about that, but I agree. These days it seems that people think money fixes everything. If you have seen the previous movies and liked them, I suggest you see it. I really enjoyed it, but thats only my opinion. Keep in mind that they split the last book into 2. Only part 1 of the movie is out right now. And I've been a CRCR member for nearly 2 years, but I guess that would be considered new compared to others, such as yourself. But thanks anyways for the welcome!!! ;D

If you want to watch the movie online for free (although it's in poor quality), you can see it or a bunch of other movies on ch131.com. Before watching the movie, I didnt catch up on the other movies, and I was fine. I think you will be okay without watching the last movie again.

The series just gets more and more intense and dark. Seen it tonight. Very good. However, was not pleased with the ending in contrast to how overwhelming the beginning is.

The film was much darker than I'd imagined and seeing as I lost interest with The Harry Ptter thing some time ago it wasn't a surprise that I didn't think much of it. Excellent special effects if you like that sort of thing but anything too fictional for me and I start to disbelieve. I'm not the right person for a Potter movie.

I really liked the movie and I was actually afraid that it would be bad or boring or something.. dunno why but anyway I think the actors did a really great job and I liked the darkness and the intense there! However, was not pleased with the ending in contrast to how overwhelming the beginning is. I was thinking the same!
