In my car I have Sugarland's new CD. I have to say I really like it. We Run, Geniveve and Already Gone are my favourites. At home I have TOTW Live disc 2. You should hear me sing Mississippi Also, in my gym which is really a shed are Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley Yes we should hear you sing. Could you please make a copy and post it up here for our listening pleasure I would, but I think it would only upset the chicks...I don't want to upstage them. ya know? ;D

I bring my house to a standstill when I go around singing travelling soldier. For some reason the dog only howls when I sing......

I've been listening to Bruce Springsteen's We Shall Overcome (The Seeger Sessions) lately I also love Dolly Parton's cd "Those Were The Days" has as bunch of great songs on there. I'm all over the place with what music I listen to as I think we all are.

Nothing. My car was broken into a couple of weeks ago, and I kept my CD case under my seat so...lesson learned for me I guess, and the only CD I have left was in my car stereo ( I have a pullout stereo) and it's the live Top of the World tour disc 1. So, I have to buy all my CD's again... I had 37 cd's - gonna take me awhile to replace them. :-(

That's bad news - sorry to hear about that, dc4life.. On the listening front, some of you might like to try a five track preview of Lucinda Williams' new album on Lost Highway, entitled "Little Honey" www.losthighwayrecords.com/lucindawilliams/amazon(If you pre-order from Amazon they give away another bonus track as MP3 - probably a US exclusive) There's a guest duet with Elvis Costello on "Jailhouse Tears" (Strong language warning on that track)The standout track for me was probably "Tears of Joy" Footnote for DC fans - as far as I know, Lu was the only US artist to respond to the backlash by specifically referencing Natalie's comment on an English stage in 2003. I don't remember her exact words, but at a Brighton concert she said something like "Ashamed doesn't begin to cover how I feel about him"

Still more DCX than anything else.
However, I must live under a rock or something, weekend before last I discovered Katy Perry (never heard any of her stuff before that)... OMG I am SOOO digging that right now.

Sorry to hear about your rotten luck, dc I hope everything works out for you. Right now, I'm listening to my 80's playlist. I'd list all of the tracks here, but I've got about 250 in there. And yes, Aoife, it includes a wee bit o' INXS

It's worth it to burn your cd's and use those in your car. Scratches & heat can screw up your cd's too.

Ann Wilson's Hope and Glory Me too, it's in my alarm clock & car right now. Though I listen to the radio most of the time in the car, until NONE of my stations have something I like (shocker, someone still listens to the radio! Never in the house, 'cept today, 'cause they were giving away HEART tickets!).

dc4life -- wow! what a rotten thing for someone to do to you or to anybody! people that steal these things don't realize that they are robbing you of more than the monetery value .. some are never replaceable . . . but so much of "what one is" is in those music selections . . . i feel bad for you and sorry for the poor soul that stole them, what a creep he must be!

Just hook it to the stereo like you would a portable car CD player. I'm currently listening to 153 songs in my car. No CD's, no tapes, no radio. Drizz - Did you win those Heart tickets?

I'm only listening to the radio these days, when I work I can't listen too intently to music, as it blows out my concerntration.
