So, I've been getting the "McCain-Leiberman: join our ticket" ad across the page....anyone else been getting it??? Any chance THAT'S his running mate? He did say to be prepared b/c it might be "unconventional".

I've never heard Lieberman. I think it'll be the governor of Minnesota, wuzizname or Mitt Rotney. I'd prefer Huckabee.

Liebermann has been mentioned - the theory being he might sway some Conservative Democrats into the McCain camp (Whether or not that would work - it is Conservative Democrats in the South and Mid West who'll probably prove decisive in the election)
But Liebermann was on the ticket that won the popular vote but lost the legal election in 2000 (remember the "Sore-Loserman" T-shirts?)
Choosing Mitt Romney though would surely kill any attempt to portray McCain as a "moderate"

It will be the same red states and the same blue states as the last 2 elections. Unfortunately it is not so much the man as the great divide between liberals and conservatives. The middle will pick the lesser of two evils................again.
I wonder if we'll see Obama crawling out of a goose blind like Kerry when he tried to pander to the right or if there's a group of vets from Nam that will throw McCain under the bus.

Lieberman is a traitor to the democratic party, why would a republican want him in office? Huckabee is an extreme conservative who is of course the Christian conservatives choice for the position. He turns a lot of people off with his politics. Either guy works for me.

I wouldn't doubt it Billi. I too, thought the timing rather "perfect" for another of the Republicans' scare tactics. I'm so tired of their cr*p.

I'm hoping he picks Ridge!! (But isn't looking so good for that). I think he's the best in the republican party for the job. Of course, if he does pick Ridge, I'm in trouble b/c I'll have NO idea who to vote for. McCain, McKinney, Obama, absolutely no idea!!
Doesn't look like it's gonna be him though, seems like they're looking at the governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin.
