So, anyone heard if the Chicks will be showing up?
Also, I have really been looking forward to this, even though I don't expect them to win, but I'll say what happened today at Virginia Tech really put a damper on that...it just doesn't seem to matter much anymore.

I think it's unlikely. They're not listed among the performers in today's papers. I can't see them coming out of their family break just to sit in the audience.
(Also, although they gave these video awards a mention on their website, and CMT was just about the only part of the Country Music set up that they thanked last year for supporting them - I still don't think they want to identify with this sort of event at present, even if they were currently "active" on the publicity circuit.)

I totally hope they win, but I'll be surprised if they do! Is anyone going to be watching?
I have to watch Drive and 24, but I'll check in during commercials. I'm afraid to watch the whole thing because I might have to see Carrie Undersnore sing.

Yeah, pretty much...I sooo didn't want him to rag on them, but not surprising that he did...though he does on everyone in the industry...
Also, if you heard, there was a lot of cheering for the Chicks, though more obviously when he joked about them.
