Unfortunately the good ones keep leaving us. Jamie O'Hara, who was one-half of the late 1980s country duo The O'Kanes and was a prominent songwriter on his own, passed away on Friday (January 8th) at the age of 70. Among his credits: "Grandpa (Tell Me 'Bout The Good Old Days)", recorded by The Judds; and "When We're Gone (Long Gone)", recorded by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris on their Trio II album:
"I don't think of myself as a star. I didn't set out to become a star, I set out to become a singer. I would have sung no matter what. The star part is just something that they made up in Hollywood in 1930."--Linda Ronstadt
