Every little bit of assistance, from wherever it comes, helps. Oregon is certainly being very hard-hit, as it's possible that several towns may have suffered the same fate as Paradise, California a few years ago. These folks need all the help they can get, and then some.

We have had a volunteer fire crew from Mexico come up to help & a Canadian volunteer fire crew has just arrived. Many business in the surrounding areas are doing what they can to help. I'm three hours away from a couple of the bigger fires; businesses & people here are doing what they can as well.

What is equally tragic is the staggering loss of the natural landscape of forests and all the animal life that goes with it. We down here in Southern California are still contending with the Bobcat Fire, which has now cut the San Gabriel Mountains in half in a 40 mile-long line of fire, incinerated 105,000+ acres of land, gutted ranch houses on the desert side of the range, and so much more. As of this evening, this fire is only 13% contained, and, even under the most ideal circumstances, they don't expect full containment until at least October 31st.
We definitely understand what you folks in Oregon, and also in nearby Washington State, are going through. This has been an extremely traumatic year all around.
