For all intents and purposes, the Golden Age of Hollywood is now officially over. Olivia de Havilland, remembered for her role in the (now extremely politically incorrect) 1939 classic GONE WITH THE WIND, as well as 1948's THE SNAKE PIT, passed away this past Sunday in her home in Paris, France where she has been living for several decades. She was an incredible 104 years old:
"I don't think of myself as a star. I didn't set out to become a star, I set out to become a singer. I would have sung no matter what. The star part is just something that they made up in Hollywood in 1930."--Linda Ronstadt
