Six months with child, and Carrie is still fulfilling her regular stints at her beloved Grand Ole Opry. Tonight, she shared the bill with Emmylou Harris, and posted this picture, with the tweet "Saw this lovely lady at the @opry tonight! Artist like no other, hero to many, friend to me! @emmylousongbird"link(And as a side note - also sharing the stage tonight was young songwriter and American Idol runner-up, Kree Harrison, who gave one of the outstanding performances that she's been giving round off-Mainstream venues in Nashville for the last two or three years - but still unable to find a major record label willing to risk releasing her work into a sea of sound-alike party 'bros')

It's really a shame that record labels aren't willing to take a chance on Kree, or any female singer not named Carrie Underwood or Miranda Lambert, because they've all fallen in love with "bro country." They all want The Sure Thing--but, as the late, great filmmaker Stanley Kubrick once observed, "nothing is as dangerous as a sure thing."

Another picture from last night's Opry link(I'm afraid I can't identify the second lady, but the others are Kacey Musgraves, Kree Harrison (centre), Clara Henningsen, Carrie Underwood)

The year that Candice Glover won (which was the year Kree was runner up,) was the 4th season of Idol I watched from beginning to end, and more than likely my last. She had my vote all the way through. It bugs the hell out of me that such a talented singer can't get signed to a major record label. That kind of thing just makes me despise the Luke Bryans and the post-Barn and Grill Blake Sheltons even more.
Side note. I see that she has lost some weight. Good for her.
