I hope you had a great show, Hil I haven't found any reviews for the Gothic, but apparently they were also playing at Steamboat Springs CO (not quite the legendary Bluegrass Festivals nostalgic old me was hoping for, but at least a step in that direction!). The production director was quoted as saying: "They have a continuity that other shows don’t have. For the Strings crowd, it’s the acoustics of the building and their harmonies with the lighter country influence, it's just a great fit for our crowd.”Emily was quoted as saying: “The toughest part of being in this industry is having to travel. I can’t do it as much as I used to. When I can travel for shows, I see it through fresh eyes and appreciate it as my little vacation to really throw myself in the music. But even today with rehearsals, the kids are running around having fun while we are working. I want my kids to see my work and understand what mom does....There is an ease about this band. There is not a lot of stress and it has that familial kind of feeling to the group. We were so used to playing together a lot growing up.“There is a lot of unsaid communication between us because we can read each other’s mind in some ways.”The site (which may not be easy to access) is here: linkAs for the Gothic Theatre, it has apparently been the target of a recent on-line campaign for a boycott, because of its booking of controversial Rocker, Ted Nugent (I don't know if this campaign affected attendance on the night, but the Hounds were not involved, and may, indeed, have different views about boycotts as a matter of principle} The wider controversy over Nugent erupted from his altercation with Native American tribes, who cancelled earlier bookings in response to his racial views. link
