Emily retweeted this picture of the present trio line-up playing Gruene Hall in 1998. As their first Nashville release had been early in that year, it shows that they were still straddling the two Country Music wings. In a way, it foreshadows the events of 2006, when the local radio station was the only reported one in the US to make "Not Ready to Make Nice" their number one playlist hit. You can read a brief article on this historic music venue here: link

And yet another 90's photo that helps with the theory that they used to get dressed in a very dark closet before making their public appearances. I would love to see them show up to one of their overseas concerts wearing those really bright clothes, along with the same bleach blonde hair styles, that they had back at the 34th ACM awards. Just as a joke. But while most of us fans would think it's hilarious, the haters would say that they are trying to get attention or try to re-create their pre-controversy success. What's funny about the picture above is that Martie's polka dot skirt outfit looks the best out of all three of them.

It's better outfits than later that same year when I met them. lol! Haha. That reminds me of Dee and I meeting Martie and Emily this year at Lollapalooza Chicago.... I had brought the Lil Ol Cowgirl album CD book in my cargo pants pocket. Had a Hounds tee shirt too. Gee I was geared like a music soldier ready for war. I had marvelled of them to have that moment reminiscing their dress-up back THEN, lol. I wondered when the last time was any fan had them sign that! (It was a perfect situation too being it's them two -not that I think Natalie would be offended in any way other than comically if she were there ) But, I was nervous, boob actually ...kept. his. mouth. shut. Sorta. I was caught in the moment and refrained, and was focused on the photo shoot. Martie and Emily seemed almost in a rush too. (Dee and I actually had almost not met them at all. But we LOVE their tour manager!) I was rambling to Martie about the mystery of Em's banjo breaking down during the show and all. Oh well....Sometimes, I'm just a boob. It won't happen again.

Next time I meet Martie, I'm askin her out. And that's that. She's available. I'll make sure I'm single. I have morals. If she says no, well, then I'll be single for a while longer, and order a moving truck.

When I talked to Martie before one of the Toronto shows, I was gonna ask her to marry me but she just violates my divide by 2 and add 15 rule.

I got in big trouble with the old divide by 2 and add 7 rule. Had to change it.

Martie's divorce got very little attention. Well, a Dixie Chick getting divorced wouldn't exactly be all over the tabloids' front pages or anything, but Emily's divorce still got some attention online. And of course the Dixie Chicks haters blamed Emily for it, saying her big mouth and lack of respect drove him away. Just imagine what would be said if Natalie got divorced! lol. If I remember correctly, fans didn't find out about Martie's divorce until after it happened. I might be wrong about that, though.

It was also an amicable divorce from anything I've heard. Whether that is valid or not, I applaud their intent with privacy. So hard in this world. Drizzle, are you fixin to be my competition?!

I can serenade the two of you. How about "I'm in the mood, I'm in the mood for some of your love." Too subtle?

I don't see flames via the mobile app...Very plain looking system. The mobile-friendly webpage however has been fantastic. It omits the shoutbox though, but oh well.
