They confirmed on twitter that they were in Dallas today for a radio promo at kxt. They did three songs. There was no mention of an interview. It airs tomorrow at 3pm (CT, I assume). Here's the link to listen live: kxt.org/listen/

Thanks for the link, xxys000
A couple of points of interest: This is a public broadcasting station, so the Hounds are apparently not relying on corporate radio for their first launch of this album.
This station belongs to the KERA group. Those with long memories may recall that KERA were probably the earliest radio organization to take up the fledgling Dixie Chicks. They also issued the first (and one of the very few) Dixie Chick recordings that was not found on one of their own albums. It was "Northern Rail", which appeared on a KERA multi-artist compilation.
This - together with Martie's recent appearance at Poor David's Pub - is an intriguing suggestion of them re-exploring their Dallas links.

Martie and Emily were also honored at their old high school. Sorry, I just can't figure out these damn links, so highlight this sucker and put in your address bar to see it.

Listening to kxt now. I definitely prefer the live version of Sunshine..the banjo and fiddle are much more prominent. The second song they did was Aimless Upwards which, on first listen, sounds really good. It's a well written track. Also enjoying the chatter.

I'm probably sticking my neck out, but that second song was very strident to me. The instrumentation just irritated my ears. Sunshine is growing on me more with each listen.

Was anybody able to record it? I didn't record it but kxt have all three songs up on their YouTube channel. I can't post a link because I'm on my tablet but I'm sure someone will post it! In the meantime just search for CYH and kxt and it should come up.

Amazing. Being as I've heard the studio version of Sunshine I like the acoustics better in this performance, yet wish they'd have the percussion with this.

It's really refreshing to hear this Court Yard Hounds thing gel and evolve. They're so damn good. Emily can sing so well. She has her own thing goin on. If there were any other artist to say she's close to, I'd say Sheryl Crow off the top. And how they are instrumentalists for so many years is my favorite part. Of course Em can't belt the notes Natalie can, nor the two of them duplicate songs that are Dixie Chicks genuine. Regardless, it hints the possibility that there will never be another album by the trio. I know that's a can of worms! But just saying it's not necessarily a bad thing if it continues. What's neat about these acoustic sessions is remembering what genuine album Home is, the "bluegrass" Chicks album. And now here the sisters are using the same instruments, most of them, doing folk or adult alternative. These sets remind me of the 70s era of singer/songwriter music....Croce, Bread, etc. I love to wonder if Emily and Martie considered, circa mid 90s, doing a twosome thing like this after Laura and Robin left the band. I don't recall it in any documentaries of them.

Like Aimless, Upward and Amelita....Sunshine isn't doing it for me. It reminds me of The Coast for some reason...fluff for summer. Looking forward to the rest of the album. Is there really going to be two versions out? One an acoustic version?
