She says they are working with Jim Scott on new songs. Didn't he write "Long Time Gone"?

Actually I think that was Darrell Scott.

Jim Scott is an interesting (if rather unexpected) choice. He is widely respected, with credits that span musical forms from classical, to jazz, to folk
Here's an example:

Erik....Oh yeah, Darrell Scott wrote LTG. Sorry about that. Bingo.... I bet it will be interesting to hear their work with Jim Scott. I had to look him up. He's worked with a lot of great musicians.

Not Darrell - but it seems there are two Jim Scotts in the music world! When I posted, I hadn't seen that photo, and I was assuming it was this Jim Scott (who is the guy in the a capella folk music video above) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Scott_%28musician%29However, we can scrub that video - the other Jim Scott is a producer, who in fact seems much more likely to be the one working with them now. His resume is here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Scott_%28producer%29(The second Jim Scott engineered the Chicks' last album, "Taking the Long Way" sharing the three recording Grammys with them - the Chicks also won a writing Grammy and a performance Grammy not involving him. This Jim Scott was also involved as co-producer of the Hounds' debut album - sorry for the confusion earlier with the other musician of the same name)

I think the first Jim Scott would be interesting as well, but I believe it's probably the guy they worked with before. Thanks for the info. At least it's not Rick Rubin. LOL.
