I came across this on Twitter. . . . and it again confirms that they are working on a 2nd album. It has three videos and a bunch of pictures. We haven't gotten any new news from them in AWHILE so... I thought you all would like to read/watch this. nonsensesensibility.com/blog/2012/01/the-court-yard-hounds/

Thanks, sthdvs2012. That's probably their most in-depth coverage so far - by Haley Schultheis, who seems to be a Dallas writer, mainly on fashion topics. She's given them a detailed and interesting blog, with a good mix of interview, pictures and video. The interview goes some way to boosting my hopes - though I won't be truly happy till that second album lands and gets a few months of solid promotion! The videos are interesting: they have a more relaxed feel with more improvisation in the instruments. "The Coast" has never really been one of my favourites, but that performance, I did enjoy. I think the third voice (Amber Rubarth) worked well - and I'd be interested in what they come up with together.

Wow...excellent! I was surprised to read that Martie first heard 'Aprils Love' sung by Emily, whilst they were driving home froma Chicks recording session........? What can we make of that?

The only time I can think of that might fit is when they recorded "Lucky Ones". Emily and Martie recorded their part of that song separately in Texas, and sent it to Rick Rubin and Natalie in California. It's possible that Emily was already writing other songs at that time. (Martin Strayer was a co-writer on Lucky Ones as well as several of the CYH songs)

Thank you for the great news. I hope this album is promoted at a higher level so more people can hear and appreciate the talent these sisters have.
