In the fight against AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome), one important project involves medical advances and provision of treatment to reduce the chances of HIV expectant mothers passing the condition on to their babies. People are being invited to design their own panel to be part of a quilt promoting the project, and the Hounds are supporting this.

I agree! Although I don't in any way want to take the emphasis off the cause itself and the support for something that's very worthwhile - to be realistic, performing artists do also get noticed for their "pro bono" activities (hence the high quality promotion photo used in their contribution to the campaign). So this does tie in with the other discussion, where I was suggesting that they would benefit from taking any opportunity to make their secondary group identity known. So I'm pleased on both counts - the support for the cause, and the well designed fan mailing.
