1974-2011
it doesnt list them from 1000 being the least and 1 being the greatest moment, just in order of when the events happened. the chicks are in it and yes, you guessed it. it is about the bush comment. i looked thru the book and saw they had a picture of norah jones with her 5 grammys so i naturally assumed the chicks would be in there again for taking over the grammys show with their top grammy wins. NOPE! such a disappointment. but then again, norahs album sold 20,000,000 copies, which is mentioned. i then looked to see if their 12,000,000 sold copies of the album WOS made it into the book. i mean after all, it is the highest selling debut album in country music. NOPE! i looked thru the book some more and you wont believe what i stumbled on. "Redneck Woman" gives Gretchen Wilson a huge hit. really? that is 1 of 1000 GREATEST moments in pop culture from 30+ years? but anyways, the book is paperback, thicker than a typical magazine and is $11.99.

^ Are you a fan of Björk? Comparing the two is like night and day. Madonna falls into the list of pop singers such as Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera etc. Björk falls into no lists. As an artist she’s the most innovative, creative and unique artist on the music scene today. The proof is in the pudding. All one has to do is explore her Biophilia project. You can read about it here and here. And as a singer she blows the above mentioned away. JMO, of course. Back to Madonna, since you bring her up. Björk wrote the song "Bedtime Stories" for Madonna, and turned down Madonna's request to meet with her, as well as to write Madonna's entire album. Björk used some of the lyrics she wrote for "Bedtime Stories" herself in "Sweet Intuition". She did it mostly as a favor to Nellee Hopper who produced Bedtime Stories and worked with Björk on her Debut album in 1993. When questioned about it she said she DID NOT write it for Madonna but wrote it as a favor for a friend (Nellee Hopper). The actual credits for “Bedtime Stories” is HOOPER, NELLEE / GUDMUNDSDOTTIR, BJORK / DEVRIES, MARIUS. What does Björk think of Madonna? "I think she is great at what she does and I'm pleased if she likes my work." The Times August 2001.

Wow...sounds like they didn't have a clear vision when they started the book and ran out of things to put in the book. Another way to make a quick buck!
