Awww...too bad it doesn't show you what percentage each artist has in the votes.

i voted a couple others, would hate to see Carrie or Taylor above Faith, Dolly, Alison, Wynonna, Trisha...others too I'm sure, but those are the ones I ended up with They only have 20 artists, so all listed will be making it, voting must just determine the order.

Don't forget Emmylou Harris; she isn't exactly chopped liver either.

Kudos - again - to CMT for pitting the Chicks in the list. They showed their videos through the years of unpopularity (even though some fans seem to have the mistaken idea that they boycoytted them). All through the lengthy hiatus, they continue to feature them and won't let them fade away. This is probably helped by some supportive journalists (notably Alison Bonaguro and Craig Shelburne) Frankly, though, I'd be pretty surprised if the Chicks were able to win this type of mass popularity vote. One problem is that Country Music is such a wide ranging mix of styles and genres. As I've argued on another fan board, it makes little sense to compare a Pop-Country chart artist to someone like Patty Loveless - who is the Queen of Mountain Soul, and simply untouchable in her generation. It's like comparing chalk and cheese - surely it's better to let each give their fans what they want and reign supreme in their own field. To illustrate what I mean, here's Patty (backed by Emmylou, who wrote the song). Comparing this to the Chicks just seems pointless to me, as the ground for deciding which is "better" doesn't seem to exist. That said, though, these polls are meant as bit of fun (and a source of revenue from numerous advertisement hits) Voting tends to be highly competitive and reflect what's currently most fashionable.

Who else could be a feisty female, but Natalie?
Not to mention sweet, tiny, pretty, and awesome.

I would be totally pissed if they are #20! If they are in the top 10.... it will be okay... but, they deserve the top 5! If they beat Carrie and Taylor (Which they won't... but they should) I will be happy enough!

Hilary Scott is nothing compared to most of the women on the list. That is bullshit. Lady Antebellum annoys me. Don't care for them. She's not a stand out singer either.
