Considering the album is out in less than 2 weeks, shouldn't we have seen a music video for "The Coast" by now? This should be all over CMT (at least here in Canada anyway).
Maybe the band is planning things to be low profile, word of mouth, etc in order to be more of an "alternative" thing?

I hope not, they really could use all the press they can get and a music video would go a long way. Although I do remember Emily saying that music videos are expensive and dont really sell records (I disagree with that though).

I would love to see a Music video of that song... The album is doing very well on Amazon. It was at #16 an hour ago.

They are just starting up and a video would be great....but videos are VERY expensive, and I don't think they are using DCX money for the CYH. In fact, they stated they weren't in one interview I read.

In fact, they stated they weren't in one interview I read. They are just starting up? Wouldn't that be a good reason to have a music video to promote a new album? It's still kind of a standard promotional move in the music industry. Videos may be expensive, but so is making "webisodes" and "making of" videos, which is something the band is doing. They themselves would not be putting up the money to produce a music video; it would be the record company. And even if the record company wouldn't give CYH a budget that they would give The Dixie Chicks, they'd still give them something to work with. After all, it's two members of the biggest selling female group of all time and the biggest selling country group of all time. There are music videos still being made for artists who don't have a fraction of the audience that CYH has.
