I've just fallen in love with "Gracefully" from that 30 second clip alone! Thanks for the heads up

Looks like the iTunes version has 2 or 3 extra tracks. Does this mean the people (including myself) who pre-ordered the CD off of courtyardhounds.com on day one are going to get screwed out of these songs? As much as I am a fan, I refuse to buy more than one copy (or format) of anything these days.

"Gracefully" is a beautiful song. I like Skyline too.

Okay, I just looked into it. It appears those who pre-ordered the CD (standard or deluxe) only get the 12 tracks and none of the extra ones. That's pretty underhanded. I'll NEVER pre-order a CD again.
And labels wonder why people just "steal" their music now.

I am also quite disappointed that I'm going to have to buy BOTH deluxe editions. But, I have to say, I LOVE "Well Behaved" so much already. It sounds QUITE a bit like a Sheryl Crow song.

Wow, how is this different from when the Chicks released TTLW? I bought the Itunes version for the bonus songs, the Target version for the presale and the Deluxe Version with the video bonus. Sigh. I feel a little bit pissed that those of us who jumped on board and bought the first available version will get screwed out of those extra songs if we don't want to buy more than one copy.

Well, it just shouldn't happen. Not that anything we can say or do will make a difference, but you shouldn't get exclusive tracks from downloading. I want to own a Chicks cd...I want to hold it in my hands. I want to read all the thank yous and check out any pictures or lyrics that might be included. Same goes with Court Yard Hounds. I think your most ardent fans (I pre-ordered the cd the very instant it was available on Amazon) will always want to own your album and no one should have to buy the same thing twice for songs that you know they're going to want (which, as was already mentioned, just gets more people in the mood to steal). Now, if eventually they sell those bonus tracks for 99 cents each, I will be happy. Or if Natkins can arrange for Martie to bring me on stage to dance and then get a kiss on the cheek, I will buy iTunes copies for EVERYONE!!! Otherwise, if someone here, for some reason doesn't have Live Wire, Thin Line or the Extended Version of the Neighbor and wouldn't mind trading for the bonus tracks from iTunes, I'd be more than happy to do that with you. I haven't been here in some time and I'm not going to jump from thread to thread, but I did think it was funny to have been gone for so long and find people analyzing Natalie's face, posture, and facial expressions in the Glen Frey interview. You'd seem constipated too if you had to speak with someone on a Fox station. Seriously, there will be more Chicks albums. I have no doubt about that at all.

You know I kinda thought things would be different this time---but no if you pre-ordered the cd from CYH website b/c you just couldn't wait to get at least some of the new songs (love love love "Ain't no son") and with the promise of good seats at a future live show you once again get screwed! Don't get me wrong I love what I've heard of the cd (am almost all the way through on the play full cd link) but I'm really kinda ticked off that I shelled out good $ for a cd months ago and now I find there will be bonus tracks available from another website. Can someone tell me what was the point of me pre-ordering again? ? First bonus tracks that I'll not see unless I shell out some more of my hard-earned cash and second, probably not gonna see any payoff for that "first dibs on tickets to the live show" b/c at this point there doesn't seem to be any kind of CYH tour going on....This is like TTLW all over again--I have at least three copies of that cd b/c I had to get the bonus tracks, the extras, etc. This is the kind of nonsense that made it tough to be a Chicks fan (don't even get me started on their PR staff!).

I'm downloading the extra tracks. They're NOT getting any more of my money.

"Don't even get me started on their PR staff!" that had me rolling in the floor with laughter!!!!! But, I think the only ones who got something good out of pre ordering early are the ones that ordered the Deluxe Edition with all the extra stuff.

No. Those people got screwed too because that "deluxe edition" does not include the extra tracks. It's no wonder people are downloading music for free now with underhanded moves like this (I'm assuming the record company made this decision).

Most artists release 3 or 4 different versions of their cd. This isn't anything new. It's just the way things are done now. I'm sure there will be another version or two from a store tie-in (Target, Walmart) that will have bonus tracks or a dvd. I guess it's to make-up for the financial losses of illegal/free downloading and the decrease of cd sales.

Yes, I am very well aware of what is NOT included in the Deluxe Editon.... But the people who bought the CD off Itunes with the EXTRA tracks will not get the lithographs, poster, pop up book, and all that other crap they think we want.
