This was on CMT news. You all have probably seen it already. I didn't know quite where this topic would fit in, so I decided to post here. "Brooks & Dunn and Dierks Bentley were each presented the Country Music Association's International Artist Achievement Award on Wednesday (May 6) in Sydney, Australia. The ceremony took place backstage during the final stop of their Australian tour. The award recognizes achievements by U.S.-based artists who contribute to the international awareness and development of county music. Previous recipients include the Dixie Chicks, Shania Twain, Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood and Dwight Yoakam." Thanks, Yellowlamp. (Just to clarify, it was reported on CMT News - but the awards are from the CMA. The two organizations are not connected)
The Chicks won in 2003 - several months after the "Incident". It remains the only post-Incident award they've won from either the CMA or the ACM..
