Adrian posted yesterday on Youtube:
buckshotwon buckshotwon (1 day ago) Just so it is clear: this last post is a vault video, and I was not out sailing, brushing my teeth, wrestling with the fallout of my DUI arrest. I take with great seriousness the situation I have created for myself and my family, and am in the process of a major course correction. I understand the level of pain I am in. I hope the public can do the same.

Wow.........this was shocking. I only managed to read this now........
While I don't feel much sympathy for Adrian, maybe this was a result of him getting kicked off of Heroes?
And like other people said, this could also be a reason why Natalie doesn't seem ready to get back to the recording studio. I wish her and the kids the best of luck.

A friend of ours was killed by a drunk driver in 2008, I have no Pity for Adrian. He has the money to Hire a driver. He has the Money, but, has no cents. I hope they give him the strictest penalty. He could have killed somebody. In addition, he is lucky to be alive!

It's gotta be tough for all of them. But Adrian Pasdar wasn't "kicked off Heroes". . . they've killed his character off twice before, I believe. Other characters were killed off, and came back. And he may be coming back this time because he was interviewed by Al Roker ("Good Morning" on Weatherchannel), and was laughing about how no one knew if this "death" was permanent. But, said they wouldn't let him out of his contract.
My heart is with them all.

Oh crikey! I'm way behind on this one. 1. What a dumbsheeeet. 2. He refused the breathalizer - stupid. 3. They NEVER said if he FAILED the field sobriety test. (or did I miss that?) 4. "Suspicion" of drunk driving. 5. What the hell is he doing driving 94mph? 6. WHY, I repeat WHY was his bail set at $15k? Seems low to me. ?? 7. Hope Natalie & he pull through this one, they got through her crap I suppose.

According to TMZ, he's now been officially charged and faces up to 6 months in jail. The 44-year-old actor -- who's married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines -- was initially pulled over on January 27 after cops say they clocked him going 90 MPH on the 405 Freeway. I agree Kent. It seems like a lot of people have the "not me" attitude and think they aren't that impaired. The alcohol sometimes makes people over confident. I don't want people to think I'm justifying, because I'm not. I hope he does realize the seriousness and makes a change in his behavior. I doubt he'll do jail time. It's LA and he's a celeb.

I think they do know the dangers. Some people drive anyway and just hope they don't get caught. It was a completely stupid move on Adrian's part.

Yes, if you've had just a couple of drinks and you thought that you'd waited long enough for them to wear off - you probably wouldn't be stupid enough to drive 90+mph. My guess is that he was pretty schnockered.

Most reasonable people know when they are too drunk to drive and call a cab or something. Been there and done that. Not everybody knows when they are at .08 or whatever the legal limit is. We cooked some pork shoulders last weekend. 32 Boston Butts. Smoking and grilling for 10 hours. We consumed some barley pops as we are want to do when cooking pig. One of the guys has a breathalizer. Of course it depends upon food intake, weight and all of that, but it doesn't take as much as you think to get to .08 even if you're pacing yourself.

but it doesn't take as much as you think to get to .08 even if you're pacing yourself. No kidding! No more in-town partying if you live in the boonies like we do (really only about 8 miles from town, but still). Where are those Auto-Pilot cars when we need them?

'Heroes' Star Escapes Jail in DUI Casewww.tmz.com/2010/06/24/heroes-star-adrian-pasdar-pleads-guilty-dui/"Heroes" star Adrian Pasdar just pled no contest to one misdemeanor charge of DUI -- stemming from a January arrest where cops say he was speeding and swerving all over an L.A. Freeway. According to the L.A. City Attorney, Pasdar -- who's also married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines -- was sentenced to 36 months probation, ordered to pay a $395 fine plus penalties, and must complete one alcohol education program and ten AA meetings. As part of the deal, prosecutors dropped a 2nd charge against Pasdar -- for refusing to submit to a blood alcohol test.

How's that supposed to discourage others from doing the same? Yes, it's remarkably soft, IMHO. You see, here in the States, we wait until someone dies before we start doling out the harsh penalties. Apparently, it's only considered a problem if you kill (or almost kill) someone. We wouldn't want to be pro-active or preventive or something silly like that.
