I love In Her Shoes, I never read the book but I have read other books by the author. I don't know why I love that movie maybe because I have an older sister who I feel is more successful than me,etc plus there is the part where diaz's role can't read and that gets to me everytime reminds me of how I can't do math at all! That's got to be my fav, I watched it the other night on F/X with commericals even though I have it on DVD I also love The Cutting Edge, Fever Pitch, the Jones movies, harry potter movies, You've Got Mail, Sleepless In Seattle, and many more chick flicks

"Doctor Zhivago" (Julie Christie & Omar Shariff) the music and the scenery make this a more than worthwile film . . and the great story still captivates . . . "A Hard Day's Night" The Beatles . . . great comedy . . .great music . . . a must see movie . . . Richard Burton's "Hamlet" . . . i saw this when it was first filmed and Burton was doing the play . . . it's a filmed "rehearsal" - no elaborate costumes were used . . just plain street clothes . . . but the acting!!! wow!! . . and Burton as Hamlet !! "Stand By Me" . . . takes on back to 1959 . . . a great soundtrack of songs from the period . .and that IS the way it were back then!!!!! "Cat Ballou" with Jane Fonda . . . a really great western/comedy! scenes you'll remember forever and laugh at years later as well . . . (Nat King Cole sings the commentary) any of the old Sherlock Holmes movies with Basil Rathbone

I could give you a whole list of movies to watch, but seeing it’s you asking, Lianne, I’m only going to suggest one today. Dancer In The Dark. If you can make it through the first 25 minutes you’ll thank me after watching it through to the end. And don’t forget to pick up a box of Kleenex on your way home from the video store. I could link you to many youtube film clips of the movie, but I don’t want to be a spoiler. Please, only watch the trailer from the link above. And the links below. Cannes 2000 Best Picture, Cannes 2000 Best Actress, Cannes 2000“ I used to dream that I was in a musical because in a musical nothing dreadful ever happens” - Björk And don’t forget to visit drizz’s movie thread.

Or pretty much your title says it all Lianne.... So, there are Favorites and then there are Favourites It's the Canadian in me putting that darn "U" in all our words!!!!! Honour, Colour, Favourite..... Shawshank is a great movie. It was on TV the other day and I caught most of it. Great film! I think it came out the same year as Forest Gump and lost best picture to Forest..... not 100% on that though! Yes Ross, I realize that there is more to TV than reality but I only get to watch between 9-10 and with the writers strike this year it seems that the only thing on was reality.... although I will admit that Survivor and Big Brother are personal faves.... yes, feel free to make fun of me all you want!!!!! TWC, I will definitely check out that movie!
